We opened in after years of watching the same thing happen. A family would notice a falling grade, hire a tutor, and the tutor would begin re-teaching the current chapter. Sometimes it worked. More often the grade moved a little and then stopped, because the actual problem was two years further back and nobody had checked.
So we built the practice around one rule: no teaching before measurement. Every student sits a diagnostic before a tutor is chosen, and the results of that diagnostic decide the plan, the specialist and the format. It costs us time we do not charge for, and it is the single reason our placements last.
The second rule is harder and matters more. We tell families the truth at the six-session review, including when the answer is that progress is behind projection, that a different tutor would serve the student better, or that what the family actually needs is a conversation with the school rather than more hours from us.
These are not marketing lines. Each one is something a family can hold us to and complain about if we fail it.
No teaching happens before we have measured where the student actually is. Half of tutoring failure is treating the visible symptom instead of the cause.
Degree in the subject, verified teaching experience, background check and a live demonstration session before a tutor meets a student.
If the match is wrong, we change it at no cost and without a discussion about contracts. Fit matters as much as qualifications.
You always know what was covered, what improved and what to practise, rather than relying on a teenager's summary of the hour.
A structured review roughly every six sessions, including the uncomfortable version when progress is slower than we projected.
Full rate table on the website, no registration fees, no material charges and no annual contract to sign.
Subject knowledge and the ability to explain something are genuinely different skills, and a great many people have the first without the second. Our selection process exists to separate them.
Verified, not claimed. Tutors teach only within the subjects their qualification and experience actually cover.
Completed and cleared before a tutor is introduced to a family, without exception and regardless of how urgently we need cover.
Every candidate teaches a real topic to an experienced member of our team. This is where most applications end.
Family feedback and progress data are reviewed each term. Tutors whose students stop progressing are supported, retrained, or let go.
Phonics, early reading fluency and number sense, taught in short sessions built around attention span rather than a syllabus.
Reading comprehension, written expression and the arithmetic foundations that every later mathematics topic quietly depends on.
The transition years, where subjects separate and organisation starts to matter as much as ability.
Subject specialists for advanced coursework, AP classes, standardized testing and college application writing.
Undergraduate mathematics and sciences, professional examinations, academic writing and returning to study after time away.
