Group sessions are capped at four students and grouped by level rather than by age. Everyone is working on the same material at roughly the same stage, which means the tutor can teach properly instead of running four private lessons in parallel.
The format suits students who are broadly keeping up and want to consolidate, revise for an examination, or build stamina on longer problems. It is not the right choice for a student with a serious foundational gap, and we will say so at the consultation rather than sell you the cheaper option.

Groups never exceed four, so every student is asked to speak, work at the board and explain their reasoning in every session.
Placement follows the diagnostic. A capable younger student and an older student rebuilding foundations can belong in the same room.
Groups follow a published sequence of topics for the term, so families can see in advance what is covered and when.
Students are regularly asked to walk the group through a method. It exposes shaky understanding faster than any worksheet.
Notes are still personal. Each family receives feedback about their own student, never a generic group summary.
Groups run at the same time each week for the whole term, which makes the routine easy to protect against everything else in the calendar.
We check whether a group is genuinely the right format, or whether the student needs individual work first.
A short assessment decides which group the student joins, so nobody spends a term in a room pitched at the wrong level.
You receive the tutor, the weekly slot, the topic sequence for the term and the exact per-student price before enrolling.
At the end of each term we advise whether to continue in the same group, move up, or switch to individual sessions.

That is precisely why the cap is four. In a group of four nobody can sit at the back, because every student is asked to contribute in every session. Tutors are briefed on which students need drawing out, and we will move a student to individual sessions if the format is genuinely holding them back.
Sometimes, and it can work very well for motivation. The condition is that both students place at the same level in the diagnostic. Where the levels differ we will explain why the pairing would slow one of them down.
You receive the session materials and the tutor notes, and the tutor will check the missed topic at the start of the following session. Groups run to a fixed schedule, so missed sessions cannot be individually rescheduled.
These programmes are often combined. Many families run one alongside another, or move between them as the year progresses.
