These terms govern the use of this website and the tutoring services provided by Starbrook Corp s.r.o., registration number C 429628. By submitting an enquiry or booking a session you accept them.
We provide supplementary academic tutoring, test preparation and study support, delivered in person or online by tutors we have selected. We are not a school, we do not issue accredited qualifications, and we do not replace the education a student receives at their institution.
An enquiry creates no obligation on either side. The initial consultation and the diagnostic assessment are provided free of charge. A booking exists only once we have confirmed a tutor, a schedule and a price in writing and you have accepted them.
Rates published on this website are our standard prices. The figure applying to your booking is confirmed in writing before the first paid session. Package discounts apply as described on the pricing page. No payment is taken through this website, and we never ask for card details by email.
Sessions cancelled or moved with at least twenty-four hours notice are rescheduled at no charge. Sessions cancelled inside twenty-four hours are charged in full, because the tutor has prepared and the slot cannot be filled. Illness and genuine emergencies are treated reasonably. If we cancel a session, it is rescheduled or credited in full.
Term packages are valid for six months from purchase and semester packages for twelve months. Where circumstances change and sessions remain unused at the end of that period, contact the coordinator and we will seek a fair resolution.
We match tutors on subject depth, experience with the age group and working style. Families may request a change of tutor at any time and at no cost. We may also change a tutor where availability, illness or suitability requires it, and will always tell you why.
We ask that students attend on time and prepared, that agreed practice between sessions is attempted, and that the tutor is told about upcoming assessments, school feedback and any relevant learning needs. For online sessions the family is responsible for a working device, connection and a suitable place to study.
All tutors complete a background check before meeting a student. Sessions with minors take place in an appropriate setting, and communication about a student runs through the parent or guardian. We may end a placement where behaviour towards a tutor or a student makes it untenable.
We do not guarantee any grade, score, admission or academic outcome, and we would encourage scepticism towards any tutoring service that does. Results depend on attendance, effort between sessions, the student's starting point and factors outside our control. What we commit to is measurement, honest reporting and a change of approach when the evidence calls for one.
Examination, test and institution names referenced on this site are used descriptively to identify the assessments we prepare students for. All such names and trademarks belong to their respective owners. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting on behalf of any examination board, university or admissions body.
Materials we produce for sessions are provided for the personal use of the student. They may not be resold, republished or distributed. The content and design of this website remain our property.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, our liability in connection with the services is limited to the fees paid for the sessions concerned. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including academic outcomes.
We may update these terms. The version published on this page at the time of your booking is the version that applies to it. Material changes affecting ongoing arrangements are communicated by email.
