Every tutor holds a degree in the subject they teach, has verified teaching experience, and passes a background check before meeting a student. They also teach a live demonstration session as part of the selection process, because subject knowledge and the ability to explain something are not the same skill.
Yes, at any point and at no cost. Fit matters enormously, particularly with teenagers. Tell the coordinator what is not working and we will normally propose an alternative within a week.
Sixty minutes is standard. Ninety minutes suits older students and test preparation, and forty-five minute sessions work better for younger children and for learning support, where attention rather than time is the limiting factor.
Once a week is the usual rhythm for keeping pace with a course. Twice a week is appropriate when there is real ground to make up or a test date approaching. More than twice a week rarely helps unless the sessions are short, because the material needs time to settle in between.
Tutors set focused practice, normally twenty to forty minutes worth, aimed at the specific thing worked on that week rather than general revision. Students who do it progress noticeably faster, and tutors will tell you honestly when it is not being done.

For most students from around age ten upwards there is no meaningful difference in outcome, provided the session is live and uses a shared whiteboard. Younger children and students who need close supervision to stay focused generally do better in person. We give an honest recommendation at the consultation rather than steering you towards whichever suits our schedule.

No, and we would be sceptical of anyone who does. Results depend on attendance, effort between sessions and where the student is starting from. What we do commit to is a measured starting point, regular reviews against it, and an honest conversation if progress is slower than we projected.
